BACKGROUND
The in-person series re-launched on September 11, 2020 after a summer-long hiatus. Past performers included the Caribbean Soul Duo with Becky Bass and Jhony Keys (9/11), Back Rhodes (9/18), and Brian James Jazz Soul (9/25).
Levitt AMP Woonsocket breathes life into public spaces and builds community through the power of free, live music. While the coronavirus is still here and may be for the foreseeable future, we know that the odds of catching the virus are exponentially smaller when outdoors. Add masks and physically distancing into the mix and organizers of Levitt AMP Woonsocket are comfortable in reconvening the in-person music series.
Aided by a just announced $35,000 investment from the “Take it Outside” initiative grant program, organizers are excited for the future of the Millrace Plaza and the Levitt AMP Woonsocket Millrace Series. While acts are currently booked through 10/30, the addition of heaters, lighting, and new furniture could comfortably extend the series deeper into the winter months.
