There are plenty of new activities to be excited for in this summer’s iteration of the Levitt AMP Woonsocket Concert Series. One of the main additions to the event is an open mic session taking place on the Millrace stage from 5pm-6pm.
The Millrace stage open mic is looking for anyone; from musicians to poets to stand-up comics. Or, maybe you want to experience some of the great talent this community has to offer. Either way, the Millrace stage is the place to be on Friday evening!
The sign-ups for the open mic will begin at 4:45pm on Friday and will end at 5:00pm when the show begins. The show will consist of one headlining performer that will be on stage for 15 minutes and once the headliner is finished the stage will be opened to the first 6 sign-ups.
Each act following the headliner should be about 5 to 6 minutes long with about 1 minute in between each act for transition. All acts will be allotted around 14 minutes inside the Millrace Building to warm up and clean out any instruments and pack up afterward.
The Millrace open mic will not only be an amazing way to grow your brand as an artist but will also serve as a great introduction to the Levitt AMP Summer Concert. After the open mic ends at 6pm, the main performances will begin at River Island Park, just across the way from the Millrace Stage. There will not only be great music from P-Lowe and Chachi Carvalho, but there will also be some delicious food from places like Bugg’d Out BBQ and Don Taco Nachos, an on-site bar catered to by Ciro’s Tavern, a Kids Corner with some fun activities, and much more.
