While it’s been incredibly refreshing to sit back and enjoy the dog days of summer, we’d like take a minute here at NeighborWorks to encourage our interactive, engaged community to get ready to vote–it’s an election year.
“Voter registration at Levitt Amp was an idea that came from a partnership with the Board of Canvassers in the City of Woonsocket and ON Radio,” said Woonsocket’s Board of Canvassers Manager Michael Narducci. ” I would like to remind series visitors that this service is not only for Woonsocket residents, but also residents or voters from other cities and towns in Rhode Island. Our democracy is the cornerstone of our government and having the freedom to vote and choose who will represent us is what makes this country great. Make a plan to vote–not only in the September 13th primary, but also in the November 8th election.”
In the park Fridays from 5:30-7:30pm, concert attendees will have the opportunity to register to vote, and/or update their personal information. Information and guidance on voting options will also be available to voters. The Board of Canvassers information table is located next to the ON Radio truck. Please reach out with any questions or concerts to the City of Woonsocket’s Board of Canvassers office at 401-767-9223 or online at woonsocketri.org.
