NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley (NWBRV) offers an array of programs to revitalize neighborhoods and provide opportunities to improve lives. Activities are organized under four business lines: Real Estate Development, HomeOwnership, Community Building & Engagement, and Asset Management.
The Real Estate program develops a range of affordable housing, commercial, and community facilities focusing on neighborhood revitalization so that scale and concentration of effort are critical to maximizing our impact. We currently have several projects in our pipeline and under development.
Our Homeownership Center is a one-stop shop for education and financial planning programs that bring individuals and families into the economic mainstream. Families are prepared with workshops, expert speakers, and one-on-one coaching sessions so they have the knowledge and financial strength to make wise choices about their budget, credit, and housing options.
Our Community Engagement activities build individual and community social capital and feature a wide array of programs and services to meet neighborhood needs. Check out our Resident Resource Guide for information and referrals to other services ranging from heating assistance to finding great childcare options.
The Asset Management program focuses on assuring that our rental housing portfolio is a community resource that strengthens the neighborhoods where they are located and contributes to neighborhoods stability, marketability, and ambiance.
We also engage in a series of special initiatives that include neighborhood planning and community partnerships.
