Kick-Off Meeting
After we review your application, our team meets with you one-on-one to learn more about your business and outline the next steps required to start working out of Millrace Kitchen. This may include reviewing necessary documents, available resources, and contacts. We’ll work with you to make sure that you have the food side AND the licensure side under control.
Training
Millrace Kitchen is equipped with the tools you need to effectively and efficiently run your food business. We’ll train you on each piece of equipment and make sure that you know the policies and processes for working in our kitchen. Beyond the technical equipment training, we also offer workshops to members. These workshops are designed to further support the growth and development of your business.
Documentation
As with everything, Millrace requires your “John Hancock” on a few papers to officially bring you on as a member of the team. Once we have a signed lease, handbook, background check form, and required reporting documents, we’ll work with you to organize your documents required for Department of Health (DOH) business licensing.
Inspection
With all of your documents in order, the Department of Health will arrange a time to meet you at Millrace Kitchen and license your business out of the space.
Getting to Work
With your license in hand, you’re ready to get started! You’ll be able to book kitchen time, gain exclusive member access to Millrace events, and use our shared office space. We’ll continue to check in and be a resource, constantly connecting you with opportunities to build and grow your food business.
