Join all of us here at NeighborWorks this fall in our journey for health and wellness, as we head into this festive season with our annual NeighborWorks Community Health Fair!
Taking place at 40 South Main Street in Woonsocket on October 19, the fair promises to be a heartfelt celebration for our wonderful city. Open to the public from 12-4pm, attendees will be able to enjoy activities, a raffle, snacks and services designed to to promote a comprehensive sense of wellness for each individual.
“We are so excited to be holding the Health Fair again this year!” said Homeownership Center Manager Roz Mitchell. “We’re looking forward to providing an opportunity for the resident of Woonsocket and the surrounding community to get a spot check up from our local health provider. Those who may not have health insurance can get checked out at our one stop Healthcare shop. We were also informed that our local healthcare provider Thundermist is taking new patients until next year.!”
Prioritizing whole body health and wellness is a necessity in today’s climate. Services offered at the fair will include mental health screenings, cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes checks, women’s health and nursing advocates and more!
Sponsored through our generous area partner CVS, this interactive community event is free and open for all to attend. On-site sponsors include CVS, as well as a traveling health bus and hearing and vision screenings.
Our energy around hosting this Health Fair is a hope that our residents living in our housing, in the Constitution Hill and Front Street areas, will attend and take advantage of the community effort. NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley and our property Management team at Maloney Properties believe in providing resident services and community resources that our community needs for self-sufficiency.”

Center and SASH.
I personally believe in the benefits of a free and public Health Fair. It was through a health fair I personally attended, that I found out that I had High blood pressure that I was able to fix with diet changes. Please come out and support the health vendors that will be attending!
