The shift of seasons doesn’t mean the end of live Woonsocket music! Coming to you weekly this fall is our five-week Millrace Music Series-funded in part by the Rhode Island Commerce, Citizens Bank, and LISC Rhode Island!
This series is outdoor, family-friendly and FREE–because you all know by now that this is how we roll! Held from Friday, October 21 through Friday November 11, music enthusiasts can enjoy live music on the patio while sampling wood-fired pizza from Pizza Magic or stop by a local restaurant to bring your own!

“All of us in High Planes are very happy to return to Woonsocket for the 2022 Millrace Music Series,” said NWBRV Deputy Director and High Planes member Christian Caldarone. “The patio is a terrific place to play against the backdrop of such a beautiful building enriched by art installations and the great light scheme. It is an honor to be part of the continued rehabilitation of River Island Park.”
Since opening in 2017, over 40 food businesses have worked out of the kitchen space at 40 South Main Street. Kitchen members, who rent the kitchen by the hour while also utilizing cooler and/or dry storage, are given the opportunity to showcase what makes their food business startup special and unique.
“The NeighborWorks incubator/commissary kitchen space is rented by a wide variety of talented culinary entrepreneurs,” former Millrace Kitchen Manager Tracey Belliveau explained. “This setup allows members to build their client base without having to purchase large equipment or their own brick and mortar store.”

We’re honored to share our multifaceted Millrace Kitchen and Patio space with you all! We’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to area partners, LISC, RI Commerce and Citizens Bank. Without their generosity and involvement, opportunities like this wouldn’t be possible.
Fall Lineup
All shows held on the heated Millrace Patio (40 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI) from 6pm – 8pm. In the event of rain, the show will move indoors.

Since the band’s start in 2016 and debut release, Mayday, the following year, High Planes has evolved away from traditional bluegrass instrumentation to include an expanded lineup and a broadened repertoire that varies from beautiful, quiet finger-picked pieces to rolling country songs. We can’t think of a better band to celebrate Halloween with!
