The weather isn’t the only thing we’re anxiously waiting to heat up this season, as we look forward to the live release of our hot upcoming lineup for this summer’s free and family friendly Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series!

The band release party will take play this coming Thursday, May 4th, at Chans Restaurant in Woonsocket.
In business since 1905, Chan’s Fine Oriental Dining is home to some of the most prominent jazz and blues acts in the world–the perfect backdrop for our summer series unveiling. Between 6 and 8pm, the highly anticipated 2023 10 headliner lineup will be announced, surrounded by the history and artistic genius of one of our state’s most influential musical venues.
We are thrilled for the Levitt launch to be held at Chan’s. Their establishment is iconic, they’ve made so many historic contributions to the music scene. We couldn’t ask for a better venue!”
NWBRV’s Meg Rego
The launch party event will include live music by Alexus Lee, our Fall Levitt Concert Series closer and Rhode Island Music “Best Vocalist 2022” Award winner! Bringing to the stage a combination of soulful storytelling and strong vocals, the Providence native boasts a four octave range and commanding stage presence. Her 45 minute close out set will be the perfect send off into the upcoming summer season.

“Wherever I perform is a safe space for people to come be healed. It’s a space of honesty, truth, love, and acceptance, which I believe the world desperately needs more of.”
Alexus Lee
Music has always been a form of therapy for me. It has been my confidant in the best of times and the worst of times. I write to heal and in turn, strive to create a space of healing for others wherever I perform.”
Alexus Lee
While we imagine this goes without saying, Thursday’s event is FREE and open to the pubic! Attendees will have first dibs on 2023 Levitt Lineup knowledge, while enjoying free appetizers and access to a cash bar. The 2023 Levitt Announcement will be made by our very own MC, Marlon Carey, aka Inphynit da Ghost, and Levitt AMP Concert Organizer Meg Rego!
Over the last few years, the Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series has become the place to be on Friday nights. Residents have personally told me that they consider it to be the best arts event they attend all summer!”
NWBRV Director Meg Rego
Thursday revealed acts will range in musical genres and include (but aren’t limited to!) Rock, Reggae, Country and Zydeco. Artists will travel from as far as Los Angeles, CA to perform at weekly concerts complete with food trucks, Cultural Activities by Geri’s Bluffing Boutique, and an on-site bar provided by Ciro’s Tavern. Concerts will occur Friday nights from June 16 through August 18 at River Island Art Park in Woonsocket.
Seeking sponsors and volunteers
In just a few short years, the Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series has become the place to be on Friday nights. YOU can help us make 2023 our best season ever by becoming a sponsor.
Here at NeighborWorks, we believe in the importance of activating our public parks. Please join us in our mission and invest in the work we’re doing to revitalize downtown Woonsocket. Since 2018, the free, family-friendly, 10-week music series has transformed River Island Art Park into a cultural hub of entertainment on Friday evenings. With goals of amplifying community pride, enriching lives through the power of free, live music, and creating vibrant public places, the work we do fosters tourism, enhances the resident experience, and is a point of pride for the City. Audiences range from 250-700 guests every week and we need YOUR support to continue this work into 2023. Your tax-deductible donation will be directly invested into the 20 talented musicians brought to the stage in River Island Art Park.
