Meet A Millrace Member – Cookie Chow

October 17, 2025 by Holly Abney

NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley is thrilled to support the Millrace Kitchen, an incubator space designed to support food business startups. Since opening in 2017, over 40 food businesses have worked out of the kitchen space at 40 South Main Street.

In this series, you’ll Meet the Millrace Members, get a sense of what it takes to start a food business and learn of some incredible food and baked goods being made right in downtown Woonsocket.

Tell us about yourself and your business.

My name is Jenny, and I’m the owner and baker behind Cookie Chow! I live in Woonsocket with my husband and our two kids. I started Cookie Chow because I’ve always loved baking and creating treats that make people happy. What began as baking for local events and markets has now grown into something I’m really proud of. We recently built our very own Cookie Chow Truck!

What type of food do you make?

I make gourmet cookies with unique, stuffed, and traditional flavors. Each cookie has its own personality, from rich chocolatey favorites to playful seasonal specials.

How can customers find you?

You can find Cookie Chow at www.cookiechow.com for local delivery, and our events page where we list all our local events. Follow along on social media @thisiscookiechow to see where we’ll be next and to keep up with new flavors and specials.

What are your food business dreams?

My dream is to see the Cookie Chow Truck traveling all over Rhode Island, bringing cookies and smiles wherever it goes. For now, I’m focused on growing Cookie Chow, connecting with the community, and baking cookies for people to enjoy.

Interested in starting up your own food business? Need for a baker or caterer for your next event? Looking for a unique space to hold a party?
