This week, we chatted with Greenridge resident and student in the Greenridge after school program, Camryn (8 y/o).

Tell us about yourself
I love to bake. Love, love, love to bake. I used to have an easy bake oven, and I used to make brownies, muffins, and little cakes a lot. I love to read, and I’ve been reading a book about reptiles every night. My teacher told me I’m reading at a second-grade level, even though I’m only in first grade. I also love dancing, singing, and making art, especially painting and drawing.
What do you do to have fun at home?
Lately, my mom and I have been playing lots of games together – we like Roblox the best. I’ve also been helping my mom with meal planning, and we’re eating all of my favorite foods! Hot dogs, burgers, macaroni and cheese, and my favorite snack – salt and vinegar chips.
What do you like about where you live?
I like riding my bike around the neighborhood!
What do you want your neighbors to know?
I like how quiet it is here [at Greenridge]. Even though I’m mostly staying inside now, I like how peaceful it is in the neighborhood.
Thanks so much to Camryn for taking a little time to tell us about your life at Greenridge Commons! Are you a NeighborWorks Neighbor interested in sharing your story? Reach out to Katie Owens to be featured in the future.
