We are so excited to announce that through the end of March, community members will be able to utilize our Millrace space for public events (drumroll please…) FREE OF CHARGE!
Our Millrace Event Space located in downtown Woonsocket at 40 South Main Street, received grant funding this past year to activate this space as a free public offering. Payton Morse, current Millrace Event Space Manager and NWBRV CBIR, excitedly shared with us this fantastic news coming out of NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley.
In an effort to enhance our community space making efforts, Millrace is offering a unique opportunity for public events! From now through March 2025, Millrace will be offering use of our space at no cost to you. Renters looking to create a vibrant, transformative, public event can utilize our event space to bring the community through our doors!

If you’re looking for a fresh space to hold your event in 2025, this opportunity could be exactly what you’ve been searching for. NWBRV has been able to help foster a strong community full of committed, invested residents and thriving local businesses through the use of our event spaces. Millrace is currently looking to host a variety of public events under this limited window offer.
“We’re calling all artists, musicians, space makers, poets, comedians, community builders, non-profits and everyone in between!” Payton said. “We want to host your public event!”
All interested community members, please send your proposal with date and times to MillraceEvents@NeighborworksBRV.org. The Millrace Event Space is perfect for workshops, corporate meetings, parties, and celebrations of up to 125 guests. Our lower level Café Space is excellent for smaller cozy gatherings, presentations, and meetings. We also have a wood-fired bread and pizza oven that can be rented for private parties and team building activities. Tables, chairs, linens, sound, and AV equipment are available for renters as well.
The Millrace Kitchen offers a beautiful event space available to rent. Easily accessible with ample public parking, Millrace is a beloved event space for many in our community. Classy and clean, renters have remarked that Millrace is ‘a great spot to transform for any event’ (private renter, December 2024).”
