Looking for a space to hold your event or launch your business? Wishing your rental money was going towards a greater good? Renting or leasing one of our affordable properties located throughout Northern Rhode Island could be your answer. By choosing one of our spaces, you’re also choosing to support youth programs, affordable housing, community events and more!

Proud to offer commercial spaces for rent, including our state-of-the-art kitchen, community centers, and a new event space located in downtown Woonsocket, NeighborWorks has your rental and leasing needs covered. By directing all rental income towards supporting our mission to enrich neighborhood life, NWBRV has been able to help foster a strong community full of committed, invested residents and thriving local businesses.
“As the commercial real estate agent who covers NeighborWorks’ commercial rental properites, I can safely say it has a positive effect for a potential renter to lease space from NWBRV,” Garrett Mancieri of Mancieri Real Estate said. “They know that their money is being invested right back into the community. NeighborWorks provides commercial tenants beautiful spaces at market rates. Tenants can feel good knowing that their rent is reinvested in the community through affordable housing, youth programs, and supporting local initiatives.”

NeighborWorks Director of Community Building & Engagement, Margaux Morisseau, spoke enthusiastically about the much loved Millrace event spaces and Milrace Cafe. The affordable spaces, which can be rented for events, parties and pop-up shops for small businesses, are excellent options for community members to lease, knowing all of their money is going towards the greater good.
“Renting these spaces has a social bonus–the income is used to support NWBRV’s programs!” Margaux said. “We’re hoping this gives kitchen members an opportunity to try out a restaurant without investing lots of money. People are more excited to possibly rent knowing that the rental fees support NWBRV’s mission. It’s great to know the money you’re spending is doing a good deed for the community!”

The Millrace Kitchen pop-up turn storefront launch from Geri’s Bluffing Boutique on Main Street in Woonsocket, is an exciting first of hopefully many pop-ups to come! While patrons can plan on event rentals starting at $60 an hour and Cafe rentals at $40 an hour, pop-up shops are given deep discounts to make the “brick–and-mortar trail” affordable.
“Heritage Place, located at 719 Front and 727 Front Street is a large mixed use property consisting of both residential and commercial units,” Garrett added. “Additionally, NeighborWorks owns 40 South Main Street which has an event space, co-op and kitchen space, and the Stillwater Mill and a property on Main Street in Burrillville.”

NeighborWorks also offers an In-Residence program, where select, pre-approved individuals are given the opportunity to serve the Woonsocket community and in turn, procure a discounted apartment. In exchange for 16 hours a week of community service with eligible NWBRV community programs, yearly renters will be able to live, work and enjoy the thriving city of Woonsocket.
NWBRV does so many programs to help the community. Service days, a free summer concert series, a home repair program, college prep, advocacy for legislation and programs and home ownership classes. All of these benefit from rental income.”
