The Community Building & Engagement (CBE) line of business offers a variety of programs and services to enhance the quality of life and increase opportunity for residents in NWBRV apartments and homes, as well as, in neighborhoods throughout the region where NWBRV’s housing developments are located. The business line staff work with residents and stakeholders to build support for affordable housing throughout the Region, as well as advocate for changes and improvements to systems and institutions to expand opportunity and asset building and advance resident leadership. The CBE line of business operates a variety of economic development, resident services and education programs.
Essential Functions
Management of all facets of CBE business line; Staff supervision, management and evaluation; Learning Center, Incubator Kitchen and other CBE facilities oversight; Program budget oversight, monitoring and planning; Database management, including resident data, learning center outcomes and impacts, and funder reporting as required; Maintain resident database, analyzing resident and other data for trends and patterns to develop programming to improve community impact and outcomes; Program design and management of CBE programs; Developing collaborations, and MOUs as necessary, with other partners and stakeholders to further organizational goals, and provide asset building opportunities for NWBRV and target area residents; Grant-writing, fundraising and resource development; Public-speaking, policy education and other public relations as required; Work to advance resident leadership; and Work with residents and partners to advance an equity and diversity agenda.
Duties & Responsibilities
Deploy and manage staffing, consultants and program resources to offer five day per week after-school program for children and youth during both the school year and summer; Develop MOUs with community partners to further organizational and community goals and provide resident services to all NWBRV rental housing developments; Build regional coalition to support affordable housing development in NWBRV target areas; Work with on-site property management staff, as well as the Asset Management and Homeownership lines of business staff to assure that residents have stable housing situations and take advantage of asset building opportunities in the community; Provide monthly narrative and data reports to Board of Directors; Build partnerships and ongoing professional relationships with local schools to assure that NWBRV programs are in alignment with school curriculum and State standards; Oversee Community Builder-In-Residence, Kitchen Incubator/Creative Placemaking programs and Resident Services initiatives; Implement and develop program policies and procedures to assure efficient operations, including compliance with legal and contractual obligations; Oversee all facets of a State-wide AmeriCorps program, including recruitment, work-plan development, training, evaluation and reporting and outcome tracking.

Salary Level or Range: $58K – $68K, depending on experience
